  7.     The photographs had all the charm of police mug shots,
  8. except that Chuck Berry and his female companions were snapped
  9. in the nude, full front. When eight pictures of a merry Berry
  10. showed up in a skin magazine for all to see, the rock legend
  11. reacted, said his lawyer, like "someone whose innermost, private
  12. possessions had been shown to the world. He was shaken." Berry,
  13. 63, is suing the mag because, he claims, the photos were used
  14. without his permission. They were stolen from his office last
  15. September, he says, by former friends. And why had Berry gone
  16. starkers for the camera in the first place? To prove, he said,
  17. there was no coercion involved in his trysts.
